ABOUT THE SHAMMY HERD OF GOATS
I have had a lot of changes in my life recently I lost Ray to cancer in Feb 07 the love of my life is gone and I miss him terribly

I have remained in goats, and I am taking great care of his special girls.
many people have heard I sold all my goats and gave up this special enjoyment of life but I have kept a fair amount of the lamancha's , I plan to stay in goats for a while yet

My herd of goats  are located in Marcola Oregon up the Mohawk Valley, about 20 miles from Eugene, I live on forested land in the lower hills close to the Santiam pass I get a lot of rain in this area.

I have a clean herd and test cae regularly, heat treat, and pasteurize milk. my goats are shown, appraised, often go to the nat'l show, wormed and vasccinated regularly, all births are attended iI use a camera in the barn to keep on top of kidding
we got our first goats in 1966 a nubian alpine cross, how we got from that to LM's is a familiar story to many people, you just sort of fall in love with the breed. And along with our LM's we had a few Nubians,
and here are two of our lovely grand daughters.
commonly called the devil girls at the local fair, wonder why they call them the devil girls ????
